Transforming Requirements into Designs for Enterprise Applications

Abstract

In this guest lecture, I will walk through how I transform product requirements into user-centered designs for enterprise applications, sharing practical insights from my recent UX projects at Striim. Starting with a quick introduction to Striim's platform and my role, I will dive into the core design process, from gathering requirements and understanding user needs to ideating and refining designs. I will cover effective ideation strategies, including low-fidelity sketches, user journey mapping, and semantic interaction design, as well as essential design principles like discoverability, user control, and consistency. You will also learn tips for navigating stakeholder feedback, handling differing opinions, and gathering insights post-launch. Finally, I will wrap up with a look at some real-world challenges in corporate UX design and share practical advice for overcoming them.
